Faith: Lost and Found

I used to ask God why It had to happen like that

I was already struggling and I thought he had my back

I used to pray that he protect my favorite people in the world

My uncle pie the champion and my grandma my favorite girl

For a while everything was going alright

Yeah still struggle and strife but not a death in sight

Then one day I got that call and all I could do was fall

Fall to my knees and just cry

screaming asking God why

Why would you take him from me?

You know he was my everything

He gave me all a girl could need

Unconditional love for free

My life felt so incomplete

When I lost him, I lost me

I couldn’t eat I couldn’t sleep

At times I didn’t wanna breathe

This shit ain’t make no damn sense!

My heart went straight to defense

I ain’t believe in God, no more

Had no more trust in the Lord

What the fuck I’m praying for?

Tell me what you’re aiming for?

The fam was already poor

What the fuck you take HIM for?!

Got me going through this shit

Showing me how hard it could get

Man I don’t deserve this shit…

With age I started to mature

Understanding what things happen for

Started showing gratitude

to everything I had and more

Turns out we weren’t really poor

In all reality we had more

More than some people down the block

They ain’t have no home or no socks

And had to sleep on the cement

But, at least my bed is decent

At least we had a home to sleep in

And a bathroom to pee in

Fast forward 2019

Finally found the courage to chase my dreams

I started writing raps and things

innerstanding the behind the scenes

Of what was really God’s Plan

He said Don’t trust in no man!

Put all your Faith in me

I’ll give you all that you need
